Efpalinos Consulting was formed in 1996 to provide in Cyprus a single source for a comprehensive range of high quality services in the field of civil engineering and transportation. Single sourcing is particularly important for providing consulting services within the working environment of Cyprus - a relatively limited geographical area, but applying state of the art technologies and knowledge is mostly necessary to serve the increasing demands of local economy at the highest standards.

The Company is mainly active at the following domains of Roads and Infrastructure Design and Construction Supervision, Transport Planning and Policy, Transport Systems Management, Traffic Impact Assessment studies, Road Safety, Urban Design and Regeneration and Structural Engineering and Rehabilitation. Currently we are engaged as well in the application and licensing procedures for the development of wind parks and solar parks in Cyprus. Among the private and public organisations that have trusted the services of the company as clients or collaborators are comprised the followings, Ministry of Communications and Works – Public Works Department, Ministry of the Interior – Earthquake Rehabilitation Office, the Town and Housing Department and District Offices, Municipalities and Communities Boards of Cyprus, and the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK).

Efpalinos Consulting has particular and long-term experience in carrying out projects in Cyprus for several governmental bodies and participated in several European research and other projects in the area of transportation and urban development. This includes the whole life-cycle of such projects beginning with initiating projects up to project management and controlling projects in financial and technical terms. The main issues were transport planning, roads, highways and bridges’ design, regeneration of open public spaces in communities’ historical centres, road safety and traffic calming measures and recently renewable energy projects.
